i had my first assignment today at day6. i thought i was going to the prom expo to observe the steps that went into a photoshoot- but after the first round, patrick handed me a huge, amazing, camera and told me i was on my own and left. i. had. a. blast. i was calling all the shots, telling models where to go, and taking literally hundreds of photos... and with the camera i was using, they all turned out better than i thought was possible. i'm astonished. i get to go in to the studio on Tuesday and help him look through all the shots and put them up on the website. if he's impressed we'll be talking about official job titles and all that jazz. AAAmazing. i'm so blessed. on top of that i had dinner with my grandma and mom and was able to chill out. then i went to my editor's (from the news-sun) house and interviewed her for a few hours about her life and vocation for an essay i have to write for core... and it turned out to be a neat experience- she's so rounded and interesting! i'm inspired just listening to her stories!
